FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the extent of the modifying activity associated with the carrier acquired during processing of the initial material in the form of repeated sequential reduction in the concentration of the latter using a carrier that manifests itself in the ability to directly change the physico-chemical and/or biological properties of a substance consisting of molecules, structurally similar to the molecules of the initial material, upon exposure to the said carrier. For this, analytical methods are used to determine the presence or absence of the molecules of the initial substance in the specified carrier, and if there are molecules of the initial substance before the characteristic parameter is measured, the molecules of the initial substance are removed from the carrier, and analytical methods are used measure one or more characteristic parameters of a substance structurally similar to the initial one, before and after interaction with the specified media. The degree of modifying activity expression is determined from the value of the change in the characteristic parameter in relative units of activity calculated by the formula (1): X=C⎟A-Am⎟:A, where X is the number of units of activity (AU); C is the dimensionless coefficient of proportionality; A is the value of a characteristic parameter of a substance structurally similar to the initial substance, before interaction with the specified activated carrier; Am is the value of the same characteristic parameter of a substance that is structurally similar to the initial material after interaction with the specified activated carrier.
EFFECT: invention provides expression of the modifying activity associated with the carrier acquired during processing of the initial material.
