FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: propeller screw with the overload clutch contains the hub-housing of the propeller screw, the key-pin and the drive and driven half-clutches. The drive half-clutch is put on the propeller shaft, engages and takes up the torque of the propeller shaft. The driven half-clutch is connected to the hub-housing and transmits the torque to the propeller. The drive and driven half-clutches are facing each other with their end faces. The joint hole in the half-clutches for the key-pin passes through the end face surfaces of the half-clutches. The hole axis is parallel or positioned at the angle up to 15-20° to the propeller shaft axis. The key-pin is located in the hole at the same time in the driven and drive half-clutches to transfer the torque between the half-clutches.
EFFECT: easy replacement of the key-pin and installation of the propeller screw on the propeller shaft.
