SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machine building, in particular to soil-cultivating tools, for example, for hilling the potato, and also for the formation of furrows and ridges. Tool for cultivating and forming ridges consists of a milling cutter with blades driven by a gasoline or an electric drive. Milling cutter is located on a shaft, the axis of rotation of which is at the angle of 60-70° to the direction of the ridge. Blades of the milling cutter form a helical surface for loosening and moving the soil, made in the form of split blades on the initial turns of the milling cutter, and a solid helical surface on the final turns of the milling cutter.

EFFECT: such a solution provides more efficient movement of large volumes of soil, as well as reducing the load on the operator.
