SUBSTANCE: liquid storage container which has a storage section capable of storing liquid, ink pouring section open to the storage section and capable of pouring the liquid into the storage section, third atmosphere chamber connecting to the atmosphere, atmospheric pressure introduction section connecting to the third atmosphere chamber and capable of introducing the atmosphere into the third atmosphere chamber. Second communication passage for connecting the storage section and the third atmosphere chamber, and a first buffer chamber and a second buffer chamber, being capable of accumulating the liquid, first buffer chamber and the second buffer chamber, if the intersection section between the ink pouring section and the storage section is defined as a liquid pouring opening, in which the ink pouring section and the storage section intersect with each other in a position in which the liquid pouring opening is directed upward in the direction, which intersects the horizontal direction, are provided in a fifth passage which is one of the routes leading from its upper section, from the routes leading from the side of the third atmosphere chamber of the second communication passage towards the storage section.

EFFECT: proposed solution provides a reduced fluid loss in the liquid storage container.
