FIELD: clocks and other time meters.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of watchmaking, to clock mechanisms with pointer indication of time, and more particularly to mechanical or electromechanical watches and complex clock mechanisms, which have an additional function of indicating the days of the week by a regular star heptagon (heptagram) of 7/3 size. Essence: the mechanism for driving the indication of the days of the week on the dial of the clock, containing a kinematic chain consisting of a hour wheel, a daily wheel, a seven-position intermittent movement mechanism, gearbox with a gear ratio of 3 and a week days indicator, wherein the interaction between the elements of the specified kinematic chain is made with the possibility of providing by the week days indicator of movement along the heptagram points in the order established by the route of a star-shaped heptagon arrangement with size of 7/3 during seven days of the week. Claimed also a clock with such a mechanism and a method of the days of the week indicating. Such implementation allows, by implementing one device, to provide both the week days indication, and simultaneously show a successive arrangement of celestial bodies in order of decreasing / increasing distance from the Earth on the dial.
EFFECT: creation of a special, built in the clock a fundamentally new mechanism for the week days indicating, in which the indicator is moving along the dial according to the geometry of the heptagram.
