FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to chemical current sources (CCS) in which the electrolyte is formed as a result of a reaction between the liquid substances of the anode (Li, Na) and the cathode (S, Se, Te), which can be used in systems of short-term and impulse action in ground, aviation and rocket-space technology. To equalize the pressure on the electrolyte that occurs during the discharge due to the increase in the cathode volume and the decrease in the anode volume, it is proposed to place liquid electrode substances in the pores of the capillary-porous structures made of the electrically conductive material, the cathode substance at the beginning of the discharge occupies only a part of the pores of the cathode structure, and its excess part flows during the discharge into the void volume. To equalize the resulting differential pressure of the inert gas that fills the void space of the CCS, a bypass device is proposed in the form of a tube made of an electrically insulating material that connects the anodic and cathodic cavities with each other.
EFFECT: increase in the stability of the operation of a chemical current source, and also an increase in its discharge time is a technical result of the invention.
