SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the building materials industry and can be used in rotary kilns during the burning of cement clinker to intensify the heating process by supplying an additional power to the kiln. Rotary kiln comprises a casing, a sludge barrel for supplying the feedstock, means for supplying the main fuel and air, installed in the outlet part of the kiln, an annular casing embracing the body, with a loading device for supplying additional fuel in the form of nozzles that enter the body and are equipped with cowls for capturing additional fuel. In this case, the loading device is mounted on an annular baffle placed between the sintering and decarbonization zones. Nozzles of the loading device are installed perpendicular to the axis of the kiln and are built into the annular baffle with the possibility of exiting their ends above the annular threshold. At the same time, the lower part of the annular casing is made in the form of a grate, under which a hopper is placed for collecting finely divided fuel fractions.

EFFECT: invention allows to accelerate the process of decarbonization, to improve the quality of clinker and the productivity of the kiln.
