According to the method, current measurements and its analog-to-digital conversion are performed, the current value is continuously determined, the obtained value is compared with the permissible current, current value is determined by shifting the time interval by the value of the next count, the weighted average value of the effective current with respect to each interval is determined for each phase of mains and the exceeding of the settings is checked, characterized by, that the current weighted average value is calculated in different time intervals by grouping the corresponding number of current counts, the tuning-out of the protection from excessive triggering is performed taking into account the protection operating conditions, while simulating the protection and the errors of RMS current values are determined for each time interval, based on the simulation modeling and the received errors, the tuning-out coefficients and the current protection settings are created, which are stored in the setting storage unit, performing additional protection tuning-out from excessive operations due to the logical combination in the logic block of the results of comparing the weighted average current values for each time interval with the corresponding setpoints, obtaining the output of the high-speed overcurrent protection based on the results of the logical combination from the output of the logic block.
EFFECT: technical result is increase the speed of the current protection response.
