FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a reinforcing sleeve that is substantially tubular and designed for placing inside coupling pipe (22) in an assembly with a coupling pipe, which forms part of connector (20). Sleeve is provided with slit (5) that extends at least in axial direction (7) of the reinforcing sleeve, slit (5) is enclosed by slit edges (9) of the reinforcing sleeve. Slit edges define an intermediate space, which is variable, since the sleeve has a flexible and resilient shape. Dimensions and shape of the reinforcing sleeve are selected in such a way, that the contour of the reinforcing sleeve can be placed inside the coupling pipe and there connects closely to an inner wall of the coupling pipe after placing. Reinforcing sleeve optionally includes toothings for fixation to the connecting pipe. In addition, the invention describes a method for welding an outer end of a multilayer pipe and the above stated assembly.
EFFECT: invention improves coupling reliability.
