FIELD: marine facilities.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of marine technology and can be used to search for offshore objects. Vehicle for underwater search is proposed, that carries buoys, as a payload, equipped with a telescopic float with a device for melting ice and a retractable antenna, equipped with on-board control, communication and navigation system, power source, engine, propulsion, steering gear drives and outer plumage with rudders, having a buoy-detachment device and a receiver-emitting device for determining the thickness of the ice. Additionally, the search underwater vehicle is equipped with an acoustic modem and a floating anchor with a device for its setting, the buoys are radio-acoustic and optionally equipped with an acoustic modem. Method of using a search submarine is also proposed.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improving the operational characteristics of the search underwater vehicle.
