FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: rotor wheel for the rotor of a gas turbine has a first side having curved blades, separated by curved grooves, and a second side having radial blades, separated by radial grooves. Method for purging a rotor of a gas turbine includes supplying a compressed air flow between adjacent rotor wheels of a rotor in the radial downward direction on the first side of each wheel and in the radial upper direction on the second side of each wheel, allowing said flow to pass through the curved grooves on the first side of each rotor wheel and allowing said flow to pass through the radial grooves on the second side of each rotor wheel. Said rotor wheels, comprising curved blades and grooves on the side of the purge flow in the radial downward direction, as well as radial blades and grooves on the side of the purge flow in the radial upper direction, improve flow characteristics by converting the pressure of tangential velocity into a static pressure. Said rotor wheels also extend the life of the rotor and improve vibration characteristics by adjusting the temperature of the rotor wheel due to improved heat transfer to the wheel holes. Radial grooves on the flow side in the radial upward direction ensure reduction of the cost of machining and the production cycle time, while reducing pressure loss of the purge flow. Recessed parts of radial grooves and curved blades reduce the weight of the rotor wheels and improve the temperature response of said holes of rotor wheels.

EFFECT: said purge rotor system also improves the ability of the gas turbine to operate in quick start mode.
