FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: hydraulic press comprises a column-type frame with the upper and lower cross-members and a traverse with a die. The traverse is movable under the action of the working cylinders. The upper cross-member has a force element which pulls the frame, at the bottom of which the working cylinders are located, and a movable segment. The segment is configured for moving relative to the force element under the action of high speed cylinders fixed to the lower cross-member of the frame and fixing with respect to the force element by means of a locking mechanism.

EFFECT: reduction of dimensions and metal consumption of the press, simplification of its design and reparability.
