SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and can be used in production of devices for automatic distance estimation to the accident site in transmission lines. Reduction block containing a microcontroller is put into the device, sensors of wire temperature, air temperature, permittivity of air and ground conductivity are connected to its analog inputs, and a digital indication unit is connected to the output and via a digital-to-analog converter a functional receiver made on the basis of an operational amplifier with a non-inverting input. In this case, the photoresistance of the first optocoupler of the functional receiver, which connects the inverting input of the amplifier to ground, through the LED of the first optocoupler connected to the exponential function generator, is a circuit consisting of the photoresistor of the second optocoupler and the capacitor, input of which is fed with a rectangular pulse from the generator of monitoring pulses. Photoresistance of the exponential function generator via the second optocoupler is connected to the microcontroller via a digital-to-analog converter.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of measuring distance under the influence of external factors.
