FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: optical system contains a common input head prism, night and day channels and a common for both channels a rotating reflecting mirror and two branches, each of which contains a rhombic prism and an eyepiece. Night channel contains a lens, reflecting mirrors and two symmetrically arranged branches, each of which contains a wrapping system, as well as a thermal imaging matrix photodetector device optically conjugated to the lens, and microdisplay, optically coupled with the wrapping systems of two symmetrical branches of the night channel. Day channel contains two symmetrically arranged branches, each containing a lens, a collective, a reflecting mirror and a wrapping system. First component of the night channel lens is a positive convex-concave meniscus, inverted with a concavity to the image, the second is a convex-concave meniscus, inverted with convexity to the image, the third is a positive concave-concave meniscus, which is concave to the image.
EFFECT: technical result is the provision of night observation without the use of active illumination with preservation of image quality and range measurement through a single input optics.
