SUBSTANCE: invention relates to axial fluid valves comprising annular flow control members. Axial fluid valve (100) comprises axial flow valve body (102, 104) defining passageway (114) between inlet (116) and outlet (118). Example axial fluid valve includes sleeve (106) slidably received by an inner surface of the axial flow valve body and movable along an axis substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the passageway. Example axial fluid valve includes linkage (110) or a gear operatively connected to the sleeve to move the sleeve to vary a flow of fluid between the inlet and the outlet through the sleeve.
EFFECT: axial flow valves with annular flow control members are disclosed.
