SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, and namely to cultivating machines. Bed maker comprises a bed plate with a hitch attachment and side bed plates, an apron with a front beam, impellers and screw adjustments for height adjustment. Bed maker also comprises successively mounted disc furrow shapers, milling drum, roller in the form of a cylinder with conical shells at the ends and drive mechanisms, including a central reducer, an intermediate shaft, a caterpillar transmission connected to the shaft of the milling drum. Bed maker is equipped with milling chisel ploughs placed in front of the roller on its outer sides along the trail of the back part of the disc furrow shapers. Milling chisel ploughs are made with a lower working part inclined to the longitudinal axis of the bed maker.

EFFECT: invention provides diversion of excess water into the soil under the bed, prevents drainage along the furrows and erosion and improves the moisture supply of planting root crops during the droughty period of their growth.
