METHOD OF IN-SITU COMBUSTION Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC E21B43/243

Abstract RU 2657036 C1

FIELD: technological processes; oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for recovering a mixture of heavy hydrocarbons from an underground formation by in-situ combustion. Method of in-situ combustion is that a number of vertical injection wells reaching the formation reservoir are made in the oil formation. Also, at least one gas production well separated laterally from a number of injection wells, and a horizontal production well located below the formation reservoir and injection wells are made. Oxygen-containing gas is supplied to each injection well and ignition is performed. Product obtained from the production well is produced. Gases formed as a result of in-situ combustion are obtained through the formation reservoir. After the start of combustion in one of the vertical injection wells, preferably in the vicinity of the center of the horizontal injection well, a temperature sensor is introduced at some depth. Based on the sensor readings, a portion of air-saturated water is injected under pressure with the addition of crushed aluminum chips. After the chips start burning, oxygen-containing gas is fed into the same vertical injection well for a while.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the productivity of the well, reducing operating costs and increasing the flow rate of petroleum products.
