FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a liquid laundry detergent composition comprising an anionic surfactant, a non-ionic surfactant, from 0.5 to 25 wt% water and from 0.05 to 2 %, by weight of the composition, of a cationic polymer which is a hydroxyethylcellulose polymer, derivatised with epoxide, substituted with trimethylammonium, wherein the anionic surfactant comprises a mixture of a fatty acid, an alkyl benzene sulphonate and an alkyl ethoxy sulphate; and wherein the weight ratio of the cationic polymer to the anionic surfactant is less than 1:5; the weight ratio of the cationic polymer to the non-ionic surfactant is greater than 1:10; the weight ratio of the cationic polymer to the total amount of surfactant is less than 1:5; and the weight ratio of the anionic surfactant to the non-ionic surfactant ranges from 5:1 to 23:1, wherein the "total amount of surfactant" means the amount of all surfactants present in the liquid laundry detergent composition, including, but not limited to, all anionic, nonionic and cationic surfactants.
EFFECT: providing improved softness of the fabric while maintaining excellent cleaning.
