FIELD: natural and chemical threads and fibers.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of yarns from aromatic heterocyclic copolyamides with high mechanical and elastic properties. Yarn is made from completely aromatic copolyamide by low-temperature polycondensation of terephthalic acid dichloride, 5(6)-amino-2-(4-aminophenyl)benzimidazole and 1,4-diaminobenzene with 4,4'-diaminodiphenyloxide with a molar ratio 10:(4–7):(1–3):(1–3). Yarns formed by a dry-wet method have a strength of 250–280 cN/tex, an elongation at break of 4.5–6.0 %, a modulus of elasticity 9,000–12,500 kgf/mm2, number of double bends before destruction of 14,000–24,500 cycles, strength in the loop 120–140 cN/tex, strength in the node 100–130 cN/tex, break operation 37.0–45.0 N⋅m.

EFFECT: invention can be used in production of special-purpose products, including ballistic protection and rubber equipment.
