SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of power engineering, in particular to the lubrication system of a piston-cylinder friction pair. Method for lubricating a cylinder-piston friction pair and cooling a piston of an external combustion thermal engine with a linear electric generator including a coolant pump, an inlet cavity in the piston rod guide, an inlet channel in the piston rod, an internal piston cavity, an outlet channel in the piston rod, an outlet cavity in the piston rod guide and a radiator, in order to lubricate the inner surface of the cylinder and cool the piston of the external combustion engine, a pump driven by an electric motor pumps the coolant along the route: a cooling-fluid pump, an entrance cavity in the piston rod guide, an inlet channel in the piston rod, an internal piston cavity, an outlet channel in the piston rod, an outlet cavity in the piston rod guide, a radiator and again a coolant pump.

EFFECT: invention provides lubrication of the cylinder-piston friction pair and the cooling of the piston of an external combustion thermal engine with a linear electric generator.
