SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser technology, namely to methods for tuning optical resonators comprising an output and a rear mirror with flat or spherical working surfaces and a corner reflector, and can be used to create laser technology and optical instruments that retain their performance under the influence of mechanical and thermal loads. In the setting method, the frame with the mirrors is fixed on the supporting elements of the resonator and the required angular position of the mirrors is achieved by completing the frames by removing the material from their working surfaces. When tuning the laser emitter, monitor the parameters of the generated radiation and, if necessary, and after each refinement of each frame, the flatness of its working surface is controlled and, if necessary, re-finished.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing the possibility of optimizing the tuning process, increasing the accuracy of the alignment of mirrors and the stability of their angular position.
