FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and can be used in powerful converters. In the method for controlling a frequency converter, which consists in comparing a reference signal with three-phase modulating sinusoids and generating control pulses from the results of this comparison, in a single-phase mode, in which all three phases operate in parallel for the total load, mutually shift the phases of one of the signals in two phases in a different direction with respect to the third phase.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing radio and electromagnetic interference and higher harmonics in the output voltage.
