FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, in particular to devices for measuring the phase shift between signals of frequencies that are not synchronized with respect to frequency of close-frequency generators for radio navigation and radio geodetic applications. Essence of the claimed technical solution is that the following elements are added to the digital phase meter: an AND element, a measuring unit for the measurement signal period duration, a block for measuring the duration of a reference signal period, block of subtraction of digital equivalents of signal period durations, comparison unit of period difference with threshold, RS-trigger. These elements, as well as the corresponding connections between them, make it possible to measure the phase difference between harmonic frequencies that are not synchronized with respect to frequencies of close frequencies.
EFFECT: possibility of measuring the phase difference between sinusoidal signals of highly stable, free running generators of close frequencies, assuming that the measurement error caused by frequency inequality will not have a significant effect on the resulting measurement error.
