FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Pneumatic tire has a protector which constitutes a vulcanizable rubber composition containing, based on 100 parts by weight of rubber (parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of rubber): (A) from about 40 to about 90 parts by weight of a styrene-butadiene rubber polymerized in solution, in which the glass transition temperature (Tg) is from -40 °C to 0 °C, per 100 parts by weight of rubber; (B) from about 60 to about 10 parts by weight of polybutadiene per 100 parts by weight of rubber; and (C) from 5 to 50 parts by weight of a hydrocarbon polymer in which Tg is -40 °C to 20 °C, 100 parts by weight of rubber; (D) optionally a process oil for rubber; (E) optionally a hydrocarbon polymer in which Tg is greater than 20 °C; the total content of the hydrocarbon polymers and oils is less than 65 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of rubber, and the weight ratio of silica and the total content of hydrocarbon polymers and oils is more than 2; (F) from 70 to 130 parts by weight of silicon dioxide per 100 parts by weight of rubber.
EFFECT: increased resistance to slippage on the wet road, reduced rolling resistance and improved wear resistance of the tire.
