SUBSTANCE: invention relates to liquid detergent compositions for washing and methods of use thereof. Composition of a liquid detergent for washing is described, comprising: from 0.001 % to 5 % (by weight of the composition) of an aldehyde-containing flavorant composition, ketone-containing flavoring material or a mixture thereof; from 5 % to 40 % (by weight of the composition) of an alcohol composition having a molecular weight of 20 to 400 and eRH from 50 % to 80 % at 20 °C; from 10 % to 30 % (by weight of a composition) of linear alkyl benzene sulfonate, neutralized with a material other than amine; less than 5 % (by weight of composition) of the hydroxyl-containing amine; from 0.5 % to 15 % (by weight of composition) of a water.
