FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the aircraft instrument engineering, namely to the pilot's cockpit electronic equipment used for the aircraft spatial position determination. Electronic artificial horizon contains indication system including screen, at least one aircraft spatial position sensor and the image output means. At that, the image output means design provides the artificial horizon image output to the screen, comprising the roll scale and window, in which the background image with pitch scale and the aircraft marker is displayed, aircraft marker outline is the aircraft schematic image when viewed from the rear, the background image is configured to move in the vertical plane relative to the artificial horizon and the aircraft marker window with change in the pitch angle and has two-color contrasting paintwork, corresponding to the sky and earth conventional colors, as well as corresponding to the horizon line colors interface. In the proposed electronic artificial horizon, the background image colors interface corresponds to the conditional horizon in the aircraft coordinates system, with the aircraft rotation by bank, the aircraft marker rotation direction in the aircraft coordinates system corresponds to the aircraft rotation direction in the terrestrial coordinate system. Display system and the image output means are configured to operate in direct and inverted flight display modes, each of which is characterized by its own roll angle reference system, at that, in the aircraft coordinate system, the background image colors interface may correspond to the conditional straight horizon line or the conditional inverted horizon line, and the artificial horizon switching from one display mode to the other one occurs automatically when in one of the modes the aircraft reaches close to 90 degrees bank angle, and in the accelerated synchronous rotation by 180 degrees relative to the background image visible part artificial horizon window center and the aircraft marker is expressed so, that the direct flight with close to 90 degrees right bank, in the aircraft coordinates system begins to be displayed as the inverted flight with close to 90 degrees left bank, and vice versa.
