FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gripping plugs having the ability to come into contact with plastic preforms in order to retain, orientate and transport them through the various steps that the preforms undergo in further processing. Gripping device for holding preforms made of a thermoplastic material is proposed. Necks contain a step formed in them. Step can be adjacent to the step formed on the outer surface of the gripping device, i. e. clamping chuck. Such a step of the chuck is necessarily located for each preform at the same distance from the base of the ring on the neck.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the reliability and performance of the gripping plug.
