SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an information processing apparatus, etc., to control a screen displayed on display means. Claimed group of inventions includes aninformation processing apparatus, an information processing method and nonvolatile recording medium. Information processing apparatus comprises: an event detection unit configured to detect at least one event, a registration unit configured to register corresponding information that associates an event that is detected by the event detection unit with a program, a first display unit configured to display a screen according to an event that is detected by the event detection unit based on the corresponding information that is registered in the registration unit, and a screen forming unit, wherein the first display unit is further configured to either: (I) if the corresponding information associates the event with a program, or display the screen in the form of a first screen that is generated by the program, or, if the program does not start, display the screen in the form of a second screen that is generated by the screen forming unit, or (II) if the corresponding information does not associate the event with the program, display the screen in the form of a second screen, which is generated by the screen forming unit.
