FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the dry separation and can be used to separate coal from other minerals with different densities. Separator for dry separation in a heavy medium comprises a reservoir for compressed air, a drum screen for medium on the side for floatable material, a dust collector pipe, element for material intake, a main unit for separation in heavy medium, a magnetic separator, a baghouse dust collector, a bucket elevator for medium, a Roots blower, an exhaust fan driven by a baghouse dust collector, a drum screen for medium on the sludge side, and pipes for air under high pressure. Drum screen for medium on the side for floatable material and the drum screen for medium on the sludge side are located under the side for removing the floatable material and the side for removing the separator sludge for dry separation in heavy medium and used to separate separation products from media. Baghouse dust collector is used for dust trapping; the dust collector pipe is located in the upper part of the separator for dry separation in heavy medium. Volume of exhaust air is larger than the volume of air supplied during the operation of the separator, so that the interior of the separator is in the negative pressure mode, and therefore the dust in the separator for dry separation in heavy medium can not get to the outside. Suction tubes are provided on the drum screen for media on the side for floatable material, the drum screen for medium on the sludge side and the magnetic separator. Whole system is in a completely closed work mode. With the help of the separator, a method for separating coal is carried out in 4 stages. Separation device used in the proposed separator is a continuously functioning, effective system for dry separation of coal, configured for integrated implementation on a single platform for the preparation of untreated coal, separation, purification and recirculation of media, air supply and dust trapping.
