SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and apparatus for establishing a connection. This method comprises: establishing a first connection with a router in the wired connection manner; receiving connection information sent from the router through the first connection, wherein the connection information is configured in such a way as to be used by a smart device to be connected to the router through the wireless connection; and, according to the connection information, establishing a second connection with the router in the wireless connection manner.
EFFECT: smart device obtains the connection information of the router in the wired connection manner, thus avoiding the leakage of the connection information of the router and, thus, increasing the information security.
