FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the area of calibration of inertial measurement modules (IMI). Method of calibration IMI includes fixing IMI on the platform of the calibration stand with ensuring that one of the measuring axes of IMI coincides with the axis of rotation of the engine of the stand with an allowable deviation of not more than 5°, rotation of the platform with a fixed IMI with a varying angular velocity around 3 mutually perpendicular axes of the platform, the recording of the angular velocity projections and apparent accelerations measured by the IMI sensors; evaluation and compensation in the accelerometer signals of the components caused by the displacement of their sensing elements relative to the axis of rotation of the platform; estimation of residual unbalance of the platform with fixed IMI and introduction of compensating signals to the control circuit of the engine of the stand; evaluation of the component error models of IMI sensors, including the scale factor errors and zero accelerometer signals, scale factor errors, zero signals and g-sensitivity coefficients of the angular velocity sensors, based on the recorded angular velocity projections and apparent accelerations.

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of determining the calibrated parameters of IMI.
