FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compressor equipment and can be used to improve the design of piston compressors with a connecting rod and piston group designed to compress various gaseous working media. Piston compressor contains a cylinder, a compression chamber, a valve head, a piston, a crankshaft with two crankpins. First connecting rod is pivotally connected to the crankpin of the crankshaft. To ensure the periodic accelerated movement of the piston, it further comprises a second connecting rod, and also a drive shaft with a crank connected to it. Second connecting rod is connected at one end to the free crankpin of the crankshaft, and the other end is pivotally connected to the crank. Drive shaft is connected through the coupling to the motor shaft. Axis of the drive shaft is parallel to the axis of the crankshaft in a horizontal plane. To ensure the operability of the structure, the dimensions of the piston compressor links must meet certain requirements.
EFFECT: in the compressor, the piston speed varies cyclically at different stages of the working cycle at a constant speed of the compressor drive, which allows to increase the efficiency of the piston compressor by reducing the leakage of the working fluid through the gaps between the piston and the cylinder.
