SUBSTANCE: floor tool for a cleaning appliance, the floor tool containing a cleaning head and a nozzle assembly. Cleaning head has a suction inlet through which the contaminated fluid is drawn into the cleaning head, and the outlet through which the fluid is discharged. Nozzle assembly carries the medium from the outlet to the rigid adapter, connected to the nozzle assembly, and comprises a front tube and a back tube. Front tube is connected to the cleaning head to rotate about the first axis. Rear tube is designed to be connected to a rigid adapter and can be rotated relative to the front tube around a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. When the floor tool rests on the floor and the rear tube continues upwards, the front and back tubes form an arc passing around the second axis and above it.
