FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, comprising the catalytic oxidation of a hydrocarbon precursor in an organic solvent, comprising the following stages: i) separating the exhaust gas from the oxidation stage into an organic solvent enriched liquid stream and a water-enriched vapor stream at the distillation stage; and ii) separating the aqueous mother liquor for purification containing organic compounds from crystals of purified aromatic dicarboxylic acid in a separation step, characterized in that the method further comprises the following steps: iii) transferring the aqueous stock solution to purify from the separation step to the extraction step; iv) extracting said organic compounds from the aqueous mother liquor for purification by contacting the aqueous mother liquor for purification at a temperature of at least 90 °C, with an organic liquid at the stage of extraction with the formation of the aqueous phase and the organic phase, where the concentration of these organic compounds in the aqueous phase is less than the concentration of said organic compounds in an aqueous stock solution for purification; and v) transferring the aqueous phase to said distillation step. In addition, a device for implementing the method is proposed in the present invention.
EFFECT: method allows the extraction of additional chemical compounds.
