FIELD: handles for hand tools.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an auxiliary handle attached to a power tool. Auxiliary handle has a mounting portion, a movable portion attached to the tool body which is movable relative to the mounting portion, and a connecting portion which connects the mounting portion and the movable portion. Movable portion has a grip portion and a base which is disposed between the grip portion and the connecting portion in the longitudinal direction of the auxiliary handle. Auxiliary handle is designed so that when it is attached to the body of the power tool, the longitudinal direction of the auxiliary handle crosses said predetermined direction. Movable portion is held in such a way as to be movable in a predetermined direction with respect to the mounting portion with the connecting portion as the pivot axis. Connecting portion and grip portion are arranged in the longitudinal direction on opposite sides of the drive axle of the working member of the tool extending in said predetermined direction.

EFFECT: improved performance of the auxiliary handle.
