SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for monitoring an aircraft piloting device, comprising a piloting unit and an electronic flight control information system. Monitoring module is integrated into the information system and is adapted to calculate, on the basis of the primary signals generated by sensors associated with the piloting unit, the theoretical value of the monitored parameter of the piloting unit, compare each theoretical value with measurement signals of each monitored parameter and select a monitoring action, specifically the generation of monitoring signals according to the function of the difference between each theoretical value and the measurement signals.
EFFECT: method for controlling the operation of an aircraft piloting device and an aircraft piloting device are disclosed.
