FIELD: biocides, pesticides, herbicides.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and devices for controlling arthropods. To control arthropods in the environment, a purified hydrogen peroxide gas (PHPG) is introduced into said environment to form PHPG-containing environment containing a gaseous PHPG at a final concentration ranging from at least 0.005 parts per million (ppm) to 5 ppm, and maintaining the specified PHPG-containing environment for a period of time sufficient to control said arthropod, wherein said purified hydrogen peroxide gas (PHPG) contains 0.015 ppm of ozone or less.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of the control.
