FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in communication systems when transmitting information over narrowband radio channels. In the method for phase modulation of signals for transmission of discrete information, a low-frequency phase-manipulated signal is formed, for which purpose the information signal of the discrete structure, in which the information is determined by the current level of an amplitude value, the phase of harmonic oscillation with a constant amplitude is changed. Desired signal is formed by changing the phase of a high-frequency signal in accordance with the law of changing the generated low-frequency phase-manipulated signal.
EFFECT: technical result is the formation of phase-modulated radio signals with a compact spectrum in which there is no phase discontinuity upon the change of discrete information symbols.
