SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an applique for a vehicle door, a vehicle door, and a method for assembling an applique. Door applique includes a body defining an attachment surface with an edge. Body has a protrusion in the edge area connected to the fastening surface within the edge, forming a channel in the edge area that is open in the direction of the edge. Said assembly also includes an edge seal having a first portion inserted into the channel in the edge area and a second portion extending inwardly over the protrusion in the edge area and spaced from it outside the channel in the edge area.
