FIELD: handheld cutting tools.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hair cutting appliance comprising a body and a cutting unit, connected to each other by a linkage unit. Unit comprises a four-link connecting mechanism which includes, connected to the base, a first arm with a first lower hinge and a second arm opposite to the first lever with a second lower hinge. Lower hinges are located on the base at a distance from each other. First and second arms comprise first and second upper hinges connected to a connecting rod. Rod can be connected with the cutting unit. During operation of the device, the hinged connection of the cutting unit with the four-link mechanism is provided. To prevent undesirable movement of the four-link mechanism, at least one end restrictive element is provided. Said element comprises at least one protruding contact tongue on at least one of the first arm, second arm and connecting rod and at least one corresponding contact surface on the other of the first arm, second arm and connecting rod.

EFFECT: improving the quality of the haircut while reducing the risk of damage to the user's skin.
