SUBSTANCE: invention relates to light industry, in particular to the design of blankets for household and/or therapeutic and prophylactic purposes. According to the first embodiment, in a weighted blanket formed by a cover of a generally rectangular shape, filled with filler, and having two side, upper and lower edges, an area with a weighting material, area with the weighting material is symmetrical about the central longitudinal axis of the blanket and limited from the upper edge of the blanket by an upper line having side sections connecting the blanket corners to a point on the central axis of the blanket at a distance from the upper edge of the blanket corresponding to the length of the user's neck, and from the bottom edge of the blanket – the bottom line, having a central and two peripheral segments parallel to the bottom edge of the blanket and adjacent to each other through segments inclined towards them at an obtuse angle, while the central segment is located at a distance from the upper edge of the blanket, corresponding to the sum of the neck and torso length of the user, and two peripheral segments – at a distance corresponding to 1.15–1.3 from the sum of the neck and torso length of the user. In the second embodiment of the weighted blanket, this technical result is achieved by the fact that the zone with the weighting material is symmetrical about the central longitudinal axis of the blanket and is bounded on the upper edge of the blanket by an upper line located at a distance from the upper edge of the blanket, corresponding to the length of the user's neck, and parallel to the upper edge of the blanket, and from the lower edge of the blanket, the lower line, at a distance from the upper edge of the blanket, corresponding to the sum of the length of the user's neck and torso, and parallel to the lower edge of the blanket.

EFFECT: providing the most effective treatment-and-prophylactic or promoting good sleep effects on the user’s torso due to the optimal distribution of sensory pressure over the user's body.
