FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing dimethyl ether (DME), as well as to an installation for carrying out the disclosed method. In the disclosed method, at least one feed stream (2) formed from synthesis gas (SG) is converted in at least one synthesis step (A), in which components contained in feed stream (2) are at least partially converted to DME, whereby at least one stream (3) of the technical product is obtained, which contains at least DME and unreacted components of feed stream (2). Feed stream (2) contains hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide in accordance with the stoichiometric number from 2.1 to 5.0 and contains from 4 to 20 mol. % of carbon dioxide, the ratio of the content of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide in feed stream (2) ranges from 0.5 to 4, and at least one stage of synthesis (A) is carried out in isothermal conditions.
EFFECT: present invention allows to obtain DME with high efficiency.
