SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions for inhibiting the formation of gas hydrates by the kinetic mechanism in various hydrocarbon-containing liquids and gases containing water and hydrate-forming agents, and can be used in the oil and gas industry to prevent the formation of man-made gas hydrates. Composition of the kinetic inhibitor of hydrate formation contains a Quaternary ammonium compound, a water-soluble polymer, ethoxylated and/or hydroxypropylated amine, ethoxylated and/or hydroxypropylated diol, aliphatic alcohol with carbon numbers from 5 to 6, methanol or ethanol, or methanol or ethanol with water, or a mixture of methanol and ethanol with water in the following ratio of components, wt.%: quaternary ammonium compound 10.0–50.0, water-soluble polymer 1.0–10.0, ethoxylated and/or hydroxypropylated amine 1.0–10.0, ethoxylated and / or hydroxypropylated diol 0.0–10.0, aliphatic alcohol with carbon atoms from 5 to 6 0.0–20.0, methanol or ethanol, or methanol or ethanol with water, or a mixture of methanol and ethanol with water – the rest.

EFFECT: decrease in the content of the polymer base, leading to a decrease in the dynamic viscosity of the inhibitor, a decrease in the freezing temperature, and the achievement of a similar or higher inhibitory ability.
