SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of beekeeping. Biocidal paint for the prevention of infectious and invasive diseases of bees with a prolonged antimicrobial and acaricidal effect includes a film-forming composition in the form of paintwork material and a biocidal additive. Film-forming composition in the form of a paint-and-lacquer material consists of beeswax dissolved in an organic solvent hexane, and as a biocidal additive it contains (2-isopropyl-5 methylphenyl) and the VPK-402 antimicrobial composite substance (poly-dimethyldiallyl ammonium)chloride). Components are taken in the following ratio of initial components, wt. %: film-forming composition in the form of paintwork material – 97.0 ± 0.3; thymol – 2.0 ± 0.2; VPK-402 antibacterial composite substance – 1.0 ± 0.1.

EFFECT: invention allows to obtain a biocidal paint with good physical, mechanical and protective properties, as well as a high degree of biocidal activity against microorganisms, ticks, the simplest on the surface of the inner walls of a beehive, on the legs and bodies of bees.
