SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computing for wireless communications. Technical result is achieved by sending an identification request to the host serving the selected wireless connection environment, through the communication unit of the docked device, the identification request requesting the host peripheral device to provide physical remotely detectable feedback, which is detected at a remote distance outside the operating range of the peripheral device and differs from presenting a text message on the display screen to the user within the operating range of this screen, receiving an identification request from the docked device via the host communication unit and responding to the identification request by controlling the peripheral device to generate physical, remotely detectable feedback, wherein the remotely detectable physical feedback provides the user of the docked device outside the operating range of the peripheral device with the ability to recognize the matching environment that is selected.

EFFECT: technical result is to improve the accuracy of the wireless connection between the host and the docked device.
