FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to two variants of method for producing isoprene by reacting isobutylene and formaldehyde and/or substances that are their sources. One of the options includes the synthesis of trimethylcarbinol, the synthesis of dimethyl dioxane with the release of by-products, synthesis of isoprene at a temperature of 150–200 °C and a pressure of 0.6–1.7 MPa in the presence of an acid catalyst, followed by decomposition of by-products and isolation and purification of isoprene, characterized in that C4 pyrolysis and/or cracking fraction containing up to 30 wt % butene-1 and up to 10 wt.% butene-2 is used as a source of isobutylene, the resulting isoprene is additionally purified from piperylene in a known way.
EFFECT: invention contains technical solutions that allow to expand raw material base in preparation of isoprene by liquid-phase and vapor-phase method while maintaining the high quality of target product-isoprene.
