FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal processing and can be used in devices for automatic feed and fixation of workpieces from rod material to single-spindle lathes. Mechanism comprises a spindle, a clamping collet resting against the nut, screwed on the spindle end, a conical bushing installed in the spindle, a rod clamping and feeding tube and a spring. At that, it is equipped with a thrust ball bearing, which rings are pressed directly to the bar clamping and feeding tube and conical bushing, wherein one of the rings installed on the conical bushing by the outer diameter, has sliding fit relative to the spindle inner surface, and the second ring, which is set on the clamp and bar supply pipe, has a groove along the outer diameter.
EFFECT: use of invention makes it possible to simplify mechanism design.
