FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to metal forming, and can be used in furniture industry for processing shaped pipes of square, rectangular cross-section, in particular, for production of curls, monograms for arches, gates, fences, grates for windows, elite and country furniture. Billet of shaped pipe for decorative-applied article, which cross-section is made in form of geometrical figure, comprises four sides. Decorative ribs are made on at least one side of the billet by deformation of the wall central part inside. On at least one deformed side of the billet between the said ribs there are recesses.
EFFECT: billet is proposed from shaped pipe for decorative-applied article.
