SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device for monitoring sensors for a system for measuring spatial position of an aircraft, a system and a method of detecting failures for a spatial position measuring system. Device for monitoring sensors comprises aircraft model for simulating multiple states, propagator-Estimator, residual error analyser. Fault detection system comprises sensors monitoring device. Fault detection method includes monitoring of generated spatial position decision data, performance of propagator-Estimator, configured with aircraft model, generation of residual values of measurement error by propagator-Estimator, comparison of residual values of measurement error with a given statistical threshold and generation of an alarm signal when residual values of measurement error exceed a given statistical threshold.

EFFECT: high accuracy of detecting sensor failures when determining the spatial position of the aircraft.
