METHOD OF DETERMINING HYDRAULIC RESIDUES IN A TANK Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01M10/00 F02K9/96

Abstract RU 2688585 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of determining liquid residues in a fuel tank and can be used in experimental development of power supply systems of rocket-and-space industry, in which diaphragm fuel tanks of small capacity are used. Essence: along line (8) compressed gas is supplied into gas cavity (5) of tested tank (1), causing deformation of diaphragm (2) and extrusion of liquid through valve (4) into open reservoir (7). Valve (4) is closed and tank (1) is disconnected from platform (6). Initial complete set of tank (1) is fixed, including tank (1), valves (3, 4) and flow line (9), and it is weighed. Then compressed gas is supplied through flow line (9) into the liquid cavity of tank (1), thereby moving diaphragm (2) to the initial position. Residue of liquid (11) is stored in axes of tank (1) formed after deformation of diaphragm (2) into initial position. Valve (4) is opened and liquid residues (11) are poured into open tank (7), where temperature of liquid (11) is measured. After that, tank (1) is dried, its fixed assembly is restored and weighed again. Volume of liquid residues is calculated considering weight of wet tank with its assembly, weight of dry tank with its assembly, specific weight of liquid at measured temperature.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining hydraulic residue.
